RIB trip to the Trident

By Harry, 24 January, 2011, 1 Comment

Here at DJL Diving we would like to congratulate 4 new PADI Advanced Open Water divers. Ville (Finland), Sarah (England), Maud & Sarah (Canada), all 4 completed both the PADI Open water course and the PADI Advanced open water course here at Davy Jones Locker.

For the final two dives of the Advanced course we took the RIB out to the Trident wreck and shark island, the highlight was seeing a turtle on the final dive of the course.

We’ve had a great few days of diving with good conditions and lots of marine life on each dive. Congratulations and we hope you continue to be active divers – The DJL Team

Davy Jones Locker is now offering the chance to rent the high speed rib for a morning or afternoon of fun dives. This will enable our customers to arrive to the dive sites faster, beating the crowds. DJL’s customers (max of 5 per trip) will be able to fun dive twice at the dive sites of their choice. For the price of only 8,000 baht which includes a boat driver, divemaster and all equipment this is an opportunity not to be missed and hope to speed you around the island soon guys!

New DJL Rib Record!

By Ollie the Spaniard, 13 January, 2010, No Comment

Since our friends at Goodtime Adventures threw down the gauntlet and claimed to have circumnavigated koh tao in 19 minutes we stepped up to the challenge and set a new DJL record. With conditions near to perfect we set out to challenge the record in our high speed rib with just enough fuel to speed around the island as quick as possible. On the last attempt we set a time of 24 minutes but this time round with less passengers and fuel managed to circumnavigate in 21 minutes! Although still 2 minutes away from Goodtime Adventures time we feel this new DJL record is more than respectable and in the good spirit of competition would like to offer our speedy friends at Goodtime a swiss time keeping devise and digital camera to record their alleged 19 minute trip!
