I LOVE NIGHT DIVES

Night diving gives you a chance to switch things up.   A once familiar dive site becomes a whole new playing field once the sun goes down.  All the reef fish tuck themselves in for the night and the nocturnal critters emerge from the cracks and crevices of the coral to begin their nightly feeding rituals, one of my favorite being the ever illusive octopus.   There’s nothing I enjoy more than scanning the sand patch at White Rock for crabs, rays, sharks and barracudas going about their business.  But what I love most of all about night diving is the occurrence of bioluminescence, which can only be described as magical.
