A team of divers from Davy Jones’ Locker in Koh Tao have recently located 2 new shipwrecks in the Gulf of Thailand. Tim led the expedition, Advanced BSAC Instructor, along with Arno and Ian.

One of the wrecks is inverted, around 30m long, sits in 37m and is believed to be the result of an attack on 30th May 1945 by the USS Bergall a balao class submarine.

The other wreck sits in 27m and is Koh Tao’s first recreational wreck dive. She is a small cargo vessel, believed to have been carrying timber along the coast around the 1970′s. She is around 50m long and has 2 cargo holds, there is some damage to the bow, port side, probably the result of a collision which could have possibly sunk her. There is plenty of penetration on this wreck.

Both wrecks can be dived if you contact Tim by email at info@davyjoneslocker.asia
